Grandpa Crompton's Caramel Popcorn

This is a favorite from Josh's family. It is so good. It will not stick in your teeth.

1 cup unpopped popcorn popped

Mix

2 sq butter
2 cup brown sugar
1 cup karo syrup

Bring to boil. Boil for 5 mins.

Add:

1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda (it does make a difference if you use the name brand or not. It is better if you use Arm and Hammer soda)

Pour over popped popcorn in roasting pan. Bake at 250 for 1 hour. Stir every 15 mins. When done, spread out on foil and break up.
