Dad's Gravy

1 c. water
1/3 c.+ 3 T. flour
Meat Drippings
Add water and flour in a cup and whisk together. In a separate microwaveable container pour your meat drippings through a fine strainer. Then while whisking your drippings pour the flour mixture through the fine strainer. Cook in the microwave for one minute and stir. Repeat this four more times.

  1. Glad to see gravy here - just a note on meat drippings; I pour my meat drippings through a strainer that is lined with a coffee filter (I had to throw these in my cart at the last second at Walmart to make sure I didn't see anyone while I was pushing it around and then they start to wonder why I am buying those...) Anyway, the coffee filter doesn't allow much of the fat through, so you get a pretty low calorie and fat gravy instead of the original.
